I don't have a lot of tolerance for snooty people.. that is people who think their better then others in anyway, shape, or form. Someone I use to know is this way... he even once commented on what one eats that overall isn't good for you but... a co-worker commented how kids love stuff like canned pastas and Mac & Cheese with hot dogs cut up and mixed in. The person who brought up the food mix said he actually likes it and would have it for lunch with their child. The smug one made a comment that to him, it tasted like poverty. I was appalled at his comment because I DO happen to know of families who would are considered poverty and who do serve this because they can't afford steak and chicken and pork and fish.. their money is very tightly budgeted and even worse, food stamps don't get much when the program says you make enough so your family gets X (while others are in the program, raking IN the benefits in the thousands and their not even feeding children...) a meal of cut hot dogs and Mac &Cheese is a staple that feeds a empty belly. Not the best but still,it's a meal for them. So personally, if such a thing tastes like poverty to the smug one, IMO may be life needs to knock them down several notches so they can taste real poverty! Live in real poverty!
Be thankful for what you have, because it can be taken away. Never look down on those who are less fortunate. Because not all of them slacked to find themselves there. I've seen those who lived the "good life" get a reality check from life and henceforth became humbled. Some never got back on their feet, others have but scratch and again very few have gotten to where they are barely treading water but are slowly inching up. These people know what poverty taste like, how it is to live in poverty because of job loss. And all have learned to appreciate what they have. Smug one... needs that lesson and in a bad way!
Dare I say I detest them for their smugness. They are by no means better in any way!
